Say what you will about the Kardashian-Jenner clan, but Khloe Kardashian’s fitness and beauty transformation over the years is one of the most amazing ones in the world of Tinseltown. In fact, she even eventually got her own makeover show on E! in 2017.
So, when the reality star became pregnant with her first baby, True Thompson, last year, people were curious about just how fast she’ll get her pre-pregnancy body back. And the 35-year-old mother of one surprised everybody, though not in the way that most people expected.
Losing the Baby Weight
In the beginning, Kardashian admits that she was geared to lose the baby weight. In her head, she said she was thinking that she would be at the gym as soon as her doctor would give her the Go.
After all, she had a lot of weight to lose as she reportedly tipped the scales at a maximum weight of 203 pounds while carrying True.
But, while she was mentally ready to get back into ‘fighting shape’, her body is a whole other story as she soon discovered. According to the star, she was out of breath during one of her first post-baby gyms sessions and couldn’t imagine how she would eventually get to her goal.
Years after the premiere of her family’s hit reality show, ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians‘, in 2007, Kardashian shared about her struggles with yo-yo dieting. Fortunately, she slowly but surely kicked the habit and became more invested in making better diet and lifestyle choices.
Taking it Slow
Continuing on her post-pregnancy fitness story, Kardashian said that she eventually got through that hard initial workout. However, she did take a step back and decided to take things slower.
Saying that it took nine months for her to gain all the baby weight, she believes it’s okay for her to give herself at least one year to lose it all. Taking this route, the reality star says that ‘we have to be kinder to ourselves’.
In the end, it seems like she did reach her goal. True is now over a year old and mommy Khloe is back to showing off her amazing figure on Instagram. What more, Kardashian says she is proud of not being so hard on herself and still making progress with her fitness journey.
Now, she is currently gearing up for the upcoming premiere of the new season of her show, ‘Revenge Body‘ this July 7.
Now on its third season, the makeover show initially premiered in 2017 with six episodes featuring two makeovers each. The show revolves around the ‘inside and out’ transformation of individuals with the help of Kardashian and a team of professional stylists and fitness trainers.
